Virtual Baby Shower for Heritage Home Women: Some Garden City ladies are hosting a "virtual" baby shower for the expectant mothers at City Team's Heritage Home in San Jose on May 9 (Mother's Day weekend). The home helps women overcome addiction, homelessness, and other hardships while they become mothers. Anyone can participate in blessing these women by gifting the requested items for the mothers/babies on their Amazon registry! Email katieaewing@gmail.com for details!
Support Local EMTs: Lila Noffsinger and her LG are spearheading an effort to support local Emergency Medical Technicians through prayer, writing an encouragement card, or monetary donations. Email lilajnoffsinger@gmail.com if interested.
Operation Palm Leaf: Healing Grove Health Center, in conjunction with CityTeam and churches in San Jose is launching an effort to help the thousands of Spanish-speaking undocumented immigrants in Silicon Valley living in high-density apartments, with porous walls and shared ventilation.
Virtual Volunteer with Help One Child: Do an online activity with a foster child!
Donate needed items to PATH: Donate the following items to PATH, an organization in downtown San Jose dedicated to ending homelessness: Non-perishable, sealed foods, paper goods (toilet paper, etc.), and hygiene items.
