Sunday's Setlist 1/12/20

Hey Church!

It’s 2020 and I can’t wait to see how God will work among us! This weekend we begin our study in 1 Thessalonians. We’ll start in Acts 17 where the world of the Thessalonians is turned upside down. Paul came to reason with the Jews from the Scriptures that the Christ had to suffer. This was such an alien expectation for the Jewish people. How could an anointed king suffer and die? Isn’t he supposed to be victorious? The thought that victory would ultimately come through the suffering, death, and resurrection of Jesus was bewildering news to Paul’s listeners. But it’s true! Jesus not only had to suffer; He did suffer. And in His suffering, accomplished the good plan of God to save us from our sin and glorify the Father. Friends, this is good news! As the old hymn says, “He purchased my pardon on Calvary’s tree.” Friends, let’s sing in the victory to the victorious King Jesus together!

Sunday we’ll be singing:

  1. How Great Thou Art

  2. You Are The Christ

  3. Center My Life

  4. Christ Is Risen

  5. My Worth is Not in What I Own

Excited to sing with you in this new decade. See you Sunday!
