Sunday's Setlist 10/6/19

Church!

I love to see how God is growing us. He is growing us in faith, in our expression of faith, in our unity toward each other, and toward where He is leading us. I love that when we sing together, it is an audible and quite real enactment of that unity—we are singing the same truth at the same time together. I so look forward to uniting together with you this weekend as we glorify God and edify one another!

  1. In Jesus’ Name - “He has overcome! We will not be shaken, we will not be moved. Jesus, You are here!” These are the words that we’ll sing first on Sunday. Our introduction to our time together before God. We have an overcoming God. One who is not far off, but near! What difference does it make that you have an overcoming King who is near?

  2. My Deliverer - This is one of our new tunes that you can find from our new EP. “The noose of the grave had me, destruction on every side. But I called to the Lord and He heard me. I called and He heard my cry.” Oh that we would recognize not only that we have an overcoming God who is near to us, but He is one that hears us and responds when we cry for help! Praise the Lord!

  3. His Mercy is More - Oh boy. I can’t wait to sing this one with you. We have an omniscient God, whom we could hide absolutely nothing from. Think on Hebrews 4:13: And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account. And at the same time, God makes the move to forget our sins to the extent that He says in Isaiah 43:25: “I, I am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins.” In Psalm 103:12 He shows the extent of his forgiveness: “as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us.” It wasn’t that our sins were so few, frivolous, or inconsequential that He removed them because of their inconvenience. No! Our sins were vast, incalculably heavy, and ruining for us. But, praise the Lord, though our sins were many, His mercy is more! Church, get pumped to declare this!

  4. Our Savior Appeared - This is our response song this Sunday and another tune from our new EP (learn more about this song here). This song was written from Titus 3: “But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit” I love singing this passage put to music. It puts the glory on the finished work of Christ Jesus.
