Annie Bosel

Hi, I’m Annie! I’m a Bay Area native. I’ve lived in many parts of the Bay, but the highlights are: I was born in Redwood City and moved to San Jose in High School!

I used to love going to Lorena’s near downtown and getting flautas de pollo and hoping the mysterious churro couple would be there in the parking lot making churros hot and fresh.

I’ve been attending Garden City since 2012. I discovered Garden City on one of my long wandering walks. I wasn’t looking for a new church but had been praying for Christian friends my own age. I was trying to walk to the Recycled Books store on the Alameda and stopped at a couple of my favorite places, the Rose Garden and the Rosicrucian museum garden. In classic Annie, I started following a butterfly. I made it to the outside of the church five minutes before the start, in God’s perfect timing, ( I hate being late) but I felt really tired and needed to sit down. Then I saw a lot of people under 30 going in so I decided to go in too. That was the week Justin announced the church was moving two blocks away from me instead of two miles. God has continued to bless me with Christ-like friends ever since.

I stay encouraged by spending time in prayer walks in nature or hanging out with my favorite type of people: children (I love babysitting). Right now I am going back to school to complete my Bachelor’s so that I can hopefully get my Master’s in counseling. So I could use a lot of prayers for that since I’m considered an older student.
