The Gartners!

Hi Church! We are the Gartners!

Carianne and I are both California natives. We grew up in the Sacramento area (about 30 min from each other) but didn’t meet until after college when we both were living and working in Fresno. We moved to the Bay Area in 2018 for work and have been here ever since!

Prior to moving to the bay, Trevor worked for Cru (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ) and worked with college students in several universities in the California Central Valley. Trevor works in the medical device industry and is going to school part time at Santa Clara university. Last year he was also the CEO of Trevor Fixes Coffee, sadly defunct.  Carianne worked in special education.  In the last year Carianne has been able to transition from education to a career in her passion of horses.  

Speaking of animals, Carianne grew up not only with a horse, but with just about every kind of pet she could find. She had rabbits, cats, dogs, goats, guinea pigs, gerbils, lizards and probably a lot more.  Trevor had 1 dog. So naturally Carianne has convinced Trevor into having 3 animals: A baby horse (Pascal), a dog (Colby), and new this year, a cat (The Battle Cat). Guess which one Trevor named!

When we aren’t working or going to school, you can catch us heading out to Santa Cruz for a flat white (Trevor thinks Cat & Cloud is best, but Carianne always likes a Bowl of Soul from Verve) and walking along Pleasure Point beach, visiting with friends and neighbors (you might know the Barrineaus).  Trevor is a serial hobbiest, as in he usually will try out 2-3 new hobbies a year.  Trevor is a “car guy” and is usually on craigslist looking for his next project or helping a friend change their oil. We’re are always down for a sweet treat from Crumbl or Salt & Straw.

We’re in the Campbell and Ladies life groups, and are so grateful to be a part of Garden City!
