The Hightowers!

Hello Garden City family! We are Ryan and Tara Hightower.

Ryan is originally from Sweet Home, Oregon which is a small town surrounded by the forest in the Willamette Valley. Ryan deeply misses Oregon and all the rain and gloom! Ryan grew up loving the outdoors and enjoyed wrestling throughout junior high and high school. Tara is from South San Jose and has spent most of her life here except for two years of college. She worked at High Five Pizza near Branham/Snell for almost 9 years after starting there in High School. Their tri-tip sandwiches are a must try!

Ryan enjoys playing Final Fantasy, listening to books on Audible, and going to the movie theater. Tara likes to find deals (garage sales are a must!), spend time with family, and read science fiction novels. Together, we like to go to the gym, grab coffee, and watch our favorite animes. One of our favorite places to spend time together is Gayle's Bakery in Capitola. They have the most amazing quiche and pastries!

Earlier this year, we began leading the South San Jose Life Group (408 forever!) which we both have been a part of since 2021. We so very much love meeting together each week and are excited to see God continue to grow our love for Him and one another. We love you Garden City family and we are thankful for this wonderful church community that we have been blessed with.
