Sunday's Setlist 12/15/19

Hey Church!

I have had such a great time singing these Christmas songs with you. Many of you have mentioned to me how some of these tunes—though they’re hundreds of years old—are new to you. That blows my mind! Others of you have mentioned how special it is to re-think through these songs you grew up singing with a renewed sense of awe and worship toward God for His love shown to us in the Incarnation. I love it.

Sunday we’ll be singing:

  1. O Come All Ye Faithful - Let us adore Him!

  2. Angels We Have Heard On High - Did you know ‘Gloria in excelsis Deo’ is Latin for “Glory to God in the highest”?

  3. Joy to the World - again, in its 300th anniversary!

  4. Our Savior Appeared - Though a reference to Titus 3, I think it makes for an appropriate Christmas song.

  5. My Worth is Not in What I Own - I love the line, “two wonders here that I confess: my worth and my unworthiness.” Wow. We rejoice in our Redeemer!

This week enjoy listening to our Spotify playlist with renditions from Nat King Cole and Aretha Franklin:) Looking forward to singing loudly again this Sunday!

Merry Christmas!
